What Does the Center Do? The Catharine S. Eberly Center for Women (ECW) is a physical space and a conceptual or psychic space. v ECW is a physical space created to be beautiful and welcoming. Please take the virtual tour to explore the physical facility, including the art galleries. v ECW is a conceptual space where learning occurs. That is, our library on violence against women and girls is available to students and scholars. Our programming includes skill development and exposure to current and historical women’s issues. Please go to Programs and Projects and News, Events & Brownbags to explore this function. v ECW creates a safe psychic space where the intersections of gender, race, ethnicity, age, sexual orientation, disability, class, academic status (students, faculty, and administrators), community and alumni meet, resulting in creative discourse and action. Please go to our mission statement by clicking on About Us. v ECW is an advocate for faculty, staff, and student women at the University of Toledo and a link from the University to the larger community of Northwest Ohio on women’s issues.
v
ECW provides links to resources and useful information.
