Inhuman

The word savage in our culture has often referred to people who are viewed as uncivilized. People who degrade others as “savages” are often the barbarians, and those labeled “savages” are often more civilized.  Those called “savage” have shown more humanity and concern for the well being of others than those who enslave and abuse the “savages.”

By invoking an inner feeling of isolation and mistreatment, I hope to convey an inhuman existence.  She is not inhuman, but what has happened to her is inhumane.
